The differences among Eau de Cologne, EDT, EDP and Parfum are mainly determined by the percentage of fragrance oil and its holding time. Mostly, Parfum and EDP are more long-last then EDT and Cologne because of their higher proportion of fragrance oil, but meanwhile, they are not as diffusive as EDT and Cologne due to less ethanol inside. Eau de Cologne contains much less fragrance oil than the other 3 types of perfume, the scent is simpler and fresher, and it’s more common in Men’s fragrance. EDT and EDP have around 7-20% of fragrance oil which are able to last for a longer time. Their note changing is more obvious and smooth, which made it more suitable for daily use. The best way to apply EDT and EDP is to spray it on your clothes and hair instead of skin only as to keep its most original scent and to extend the holding time. Parfum contains the most fragrance oil and less alcohol, the best way to diffuse its scent is to spread it on skin directly instead of using spray. The skin temperature can slowly change the perfume note and bring out a different experience.

Eau de Cologne (Fragrance oil 2 – 6%)
Eau de Toilette (Fragrance oil 7 – 15%)
Eau de Parfum (Fragrance oil 10 – 20%)
Parfum/Extrait (Fragrance oil 20 – 40%)

Different fragrant materials contain various viotility. Being affected by temperature and humidity, a perfume will experience 3 stages of changing once it is applied: Top note, Middle note and Base note. Top note is the first scent you can smell, with higher volatility and more prominent smell. Middle note will slowly merge the Top note and Base note to present a specific core smell of the perfume. It is usually called as “the soul of perfume”. Base note is the last scent of a perfume which last the longest time. Mostly Musk and Woody group are used to create base note for a soft and comfy feeling.

Unlike the traditional fragrance categories, modern fragrance have developed into much more notes and is becoming more specific and creative: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral, Fruity, Green, Ozonic, Gourmand, Spicy, Tobacco, Woody, Oriental, Musky…

All LISA & SARA perfumes are possible to mix-and-match and create a more personal fragrance. We suggest to blend 2 simple fragrances and avoid complex smell. You may try to match the fragrance by their odour categories, such as mixing Floral group with Woody smell to enrich its texture, or stirring with Greenery scent to make it fresher. Fruity group can be added with Musky smell to extends its holding time.

Classic blending: Golden pear with Peony, Magnolia with Sandalwood, Rose with Oud.

Our home fragrance does not contain any alcohol, therefore cotton fibre reeds are needed for diffusing scent. Since reed diffuser depends on natural ventilation, therefore, temperature, humidity and amount of reeds can affect the diffusivity and its holding time. General speaking, more reeds used in the diffuser can increase its diffusivity and concentration but fasten its consumption. On one hand, when the room temperature and humidity is getting higher, the oil particles absorbed by the cotton reeds may not be able to diffuse out, lowering the diffusivity. On the other hand, when the room is drier or keep turning on the A/C, the consumption of diffuser will be faster, Therefore, we suggest you to put the reed diffuser in a cool place with good ventilation, keep room temperature and avoid being under sunlight. The fragrance oil inside reed diffuser will be kept in a good condition and maintain a good diffusivity.

Since there are many dust and germs exist in air, we suggest to change and flip over the reeds regularly to avoid the dirt sticking on the reeds and affect the diffusivity.

Since cotton contains more fibres than woody and rattan sticks, which absorbs the oil in diffuser more effectively and strengthens the diffusivity. Meanwhile, cotton fibre is more durable than woody and rattan sticks which can prolong the using time of diffuser.

Since Reed Diffuser contains solvent which helps to diffuse and is not pure water-soluble oil, even it is heated, the scent is hard to diffuse from oil via the diffuser machine. Moreover, the solvent in Reed diffuser may damage the machine. Therefore, we suggest to use fragrance oil if you wish to use Diffuser machine and put in reeds if you use reed diffuser.

Fragrance oil is mainly for diffusing scent and create a desire atmosphere. It can be added into diffuser machine with water or directly burnt. Mostly, Fragrance oil contains solvent to strengthen its diffusivity which is not suitable for skin. Facial oil, however, is purposely for skin care by directly applying on skin and message. Facial oil is pure oil and hard to dissolve in water, which made it more suitable for skin.

Since there are no worldwide recognised authority established to test and monitor “natural substance”, all products claimed for “100% natural” is neither under monitored nor recognised. Inappropriately using “natural substance” or using it with wrong concentration may cause allergy. Therefore, we suggest our customer do not choose the products claimed as “100% pure natural” but products which are following IFRA safety standard, with recognised certificates, tested and stabilized.

Soy wax is made from natural soy bean. Since the melting point of Soybean oil are changed during the refining process, therefore soy wax can be solidified at room temperature but will not burn our hand when it is burning. The normal melting point of soy wax remains between 30℃ to 40℃, which is a mild temperature for diffusing the fragrance oil.

Compared with traditional candlewick or other wood strip, Pine strip will not release burnt smell and black smoke when burning the candle, which will not affect the scent diffusing.
